The 21st annual Music City Track Carnival will take place Friday-Saturday June 2-3, 2023 in Nashville, TN at Vanderbilt University. With a new name, a new logo, and a new menu of events, what was formerly known as the Music City Distance Carnival for 18 years expanded in 2021 to offer pro sprints, jumps and throws, and joined with the PUMA American Track League. MCTC is three meets all rolled into one: a youth and open meet for all-comers, an elite level high school meet, and a professional meet stacked with Olympians. There is literally a race for everyone!
For the second year, the pro portion of the meet is part of the World Athletics Continental Silver Tour, and has over $75,000 in prize money. Several Olympians and World Championship finalists are already committed to competing. The meet will be streamed live on both days via Youtube (link coming soon) with a live TV Peacock window on Saturday, June 3rd from 2-4pm CT.
NOTE: THERE IS NO PRACTICE ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY AT VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY. YOU CAN ACCESS THE PUBLIC TRACK AT E.S. ROSE PARK.
HAMMER THROWERS CAN PRACTICE AT 10AM ON FRIDAY AT TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY. PLEASE CONTACT GWEN BERRY FOR MORE INFO ([email protected]).
REGISTRATION: Registration closes at 11pm CT on Monday, May 29th, 2023. CLICK HERE to register at Race Roster.
**PLEASE NOTE: All athletes regardless of event or level MUST register through Race Roster to ensure their participation in the 2023 Music City Track Carnival!
TICKETS:
Spectator tickets are good for all events on both Friday and Saturday and can be purchased for $15 via EventBrite or $20 at the gate.
HOTELS:
Hotels in the area are filling up fast, so be sure to book as early as possible. Lodging in the immediate vicinity of the track (near Vanderbilt University and downtown Nashville) is very expensive this time of year, so we encourage you to look at hotels closer to BNA Nashville International Airport (a few suggestions are the Radisson Hotel Nashville Airport, the Sonesta Nashville Airport and the Cambria Hotel Nashville Airport)
